I met Noreleen de Mesa in September. It was approximately 2 days before the deadline imposed by my first lien holder to list my rental property in order to be eligible to receive a substantial lender cash incentive. Noreleen hit the ground running, and got my property listed by the deadline. This was just the first of many hurdles she successfully cleared. She was able to very quickly (within days)secure several viable buyers, and advised me wisely in choosing the offer we should accept. My second lien holder made unreasonable demands for months, that threatened to halt the whole deal. Noreleen patiently and efficiently went through the chains of command, until she arrived at the person who was able to understand her very concise and reasonable argument, then make a decision to cut through the previous roadblocks, and make the deal happen. Of course during the course of all this, she also diligently kept the potential buyer engaged, involved and ultimately interested in making the deal happen, despite several "challenges".
It took four months of negotiations to finally close the deal. But the deal did close. It closed on the day before Christmas. My husband and I walked away on Christmas Eve without the stress of an upside down income property. The incentive check was indeed a very nice incentive that certainly helped salve the discomfort of a short sale, including four months of real estate negotiations with two lien holders, buyers and tenants.
